History
The NIST-SEBA Golf Association has been in existence for
forty years. Our goal is to provide an organized league for NIST
employees that promotes enjoyment of the game of golf along with fun and spirited
competition. Currently, the league consists of 24 (2 to 4 member) teams. The skill levels
range from beginner to seasoned veterans. The league is divided into four separate
divisions and we compete for twenty weeks during the summer, generally starting the first
or second week of April.

Format of Play
Our scoring system combines stroke and match play
formats. We play nine holes per week and players use established NIST GA handicaps
to allow fair competition, regardless of ability. Points are awarded for match play
(head-to-head competition) and traditional stroke play (individual and team scores
w/handicap).
